Answers to the most common questions about using Casuya.

I can't log in — what should I check?

Confirm your email and password (minimum 6 characters). If your account was deactivated, contact your school administrator. You can also use the "Log out" button on your dashboard and sign in again to refresh your session.

Which account types can I register?

Sign-up is available as Student or Teacher. Admin accounts are provisioned by your school and are not self-service. Parents and schools access the platform through the student and teacher experience.

Why am I redirected after clicking a portal link?

Each portal (Admin, Teacher, Student) is role-protected. If you land on a portal that doesn't match your account role, you are automatically sent to the portal for your role, or to login if you aren't signed in. This is expected behaviour.

Can I study offline?

Yes. Casuya is offline-first: published lessons, quizzes, and progress sync locally and continue working without a connection, then sync when you're back online.

How do I reset my password?

On the Login page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your registered email address. You'll receive a reset link (or a token in dev mode). Follow the link to create a new password. If you don't receive an email, check your spam folder or contact support.

How do I change my profile information?

After logging in, click the profile icon (👤) in the sidebar footer and select "Edit Profile". You can update your full name, phone number, and form level. Changes are saved immediately.

What are bookmarks and how do I use them?

Bookmarks let you save lessons for quick access later. While viewing any lesson, click the star icon (☆) in the top bar to bookmark it. Access all your bookmarks from the Bookmarks section in the student sidebar.

How do quizzes work?

Quizzes appear at the bottom of lesson content. Select your answers and click "Submit Quiz" to see your score. Quiz results are automatically synced to your progress. Some lessons also include interactive games and activities.

Can I take notes on lessons?

Yes. While viewing a lesson, expand the "My Notes" section below the content. Your notes auto-save as you type and are synced to your account. You can access them again the next time you open the same lesson.

How do I contact support or report a bug?

Use the Contact Us page to send us a message directly. You can also open an issue on our GitHub organization or chat with us on WhatsApp.

What is the AI Teacher Assistant?

The AI Teacher Assistant helps educators generate grading frameworks, lesson descriptions, and interactive content outlines. It's available within the teacher portal to speed up lesson planning and content creation.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Passwords are hashed, access tokens are short-lived and signed, and all API communication uses HTTPS in production. Offline-cached data is stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
